Generating designs got easy.
Bounding them didn't.

Investors: Datafurn is raising a pre-seed round.

Datafurn applies deterministic constraints to parametric products. A CNC shop’s machine, material and tooling limits, held as data. Each design generated with the shop’s measured stock and checked against its machines and tools at the design stage, with every result traced to a recorded limit.

The problem

Independent CNC manufacturers making configurable products lose time between design and production. We expect limits to be scattered across design files, out-of-limit sizes to surface at CAM prep, and machine knowledge to sit with one or two people. The pilot is how we test that.

Why now

More design parameters are set by software. Configurators, parametric tools and now AI assistants can propose sizes and options faster than anyone can check them by hand.

AI doesn’t know your router. A design tool can suggest a panel width, but it has no record of your bed size, sheet stock or cutters. Those limits live in the shop, not in the design tool.

Datafurn holds them as data. Anything that sets parameters through Datafurn is checked against recorded limits, whether the choice came from a person, a configurator or an AI tool. It checks designs from connected products; it doesn’t check geometry made another way.

Where Datafurn sits

Every variant of a product family checked at the design stage, against a specific shop’s recorded machines, tools and stock, and generated with that shop’s materials at their measured thicknesses. Every flag names the limit it broke. How Datafurn works

The round

We’re raising a pre-seed round, structured as a SEIS round for UK investors. Investors outside the UK are welcome to get in touch. Planned use of funds:

  • 40–45%: pilot validation and shop integration.
  • 40–45%: technical execution and platform build, including machine code generation.
  • 15–20%: patent prosecution and future filings.

Deck and data room

The deck, IP brief and data room are available on request.

Built

Grasshopper definitions load and run on our servers through Rhino Compute.

In development

Checks against shop machines and tools at the design stage.

Now

Recruiting 3–5 CNC manufacturers for the Stage 1 pilot.

Next

Machine code for supported 3-axis flatbed routers.

IP

An allowed US patent application naming the founder as inventor. Allowed US claims cover filtering goods and services by location or sustainability and mapping them into parametric CAD inputs. Not yet an issued patent.
